Wine in movement

Year after year, harvest after harvest, We work with the aim of improving ourselves and the wine we put in the bottle, in a process of constant evolution.

We strive for a wine capable of treasuring past experience, interpreting the signals of the present and accepting the challenges of the future.

We will take him on a journey with us, to rediscover nearby places and to deal with distant cultures; We will tell it without ever getting tired or stopping, because we are not just wine:

WE ARE WINE IN MOVEMENT!

  • Giuseppe Papadopoli

Giuseppe is the hearth of the company and applies the experience of four generations to grow grapes of the highest quality in his vineyards

  • Salvatore Papadopoli

Salvatore is a young and passionate enologist with the desire to experiment and extract the best juice from his father’s work.

  • Federico Papadopoli

Federico, on the other hand, is the cellar master: his eyes and arms guaranteeing all daily operations.

The Philosophy

PRESERVE AND ENHANCE

We have an indissoluble connection with our land and with each of the indigenous varieties we work.
The goal is to preserve their tipicality and characteristics in order to enhance and never distort them.
Minimal interventions in the vineyard and targeted refiniments in the cellar give our wines the aroma and scents of the grapes from which they come to life.

BETWEEN THE SEA AND THE HEIGHTS

A family affair

In a middle earth, between the sea of Taranto and the heights of the Itria Valley, is located San Giorgio, a small Village part of the Primitivo di Manduria DOC region. Here, for four generations, we have been passing on tradition, experience and passion for wine.

The vineyard by the sea

Our Land

A few steps far from Mar Piccolo, where the Scirocco and Tramontana winds blow strong, we found our little corner of paradise.

Here the vines grow luxuriantly on a unique soil of clay, sand and some fossil shells.

1991

The start

After spending years handling vineyards for some of the more productive companies in the area, Giuseppe Papadopoli senses that the Apulian wine market is changing.
It’s time for the family to take a new and personal direction.
The purchase of the first own hectares marks a turning point, the name of that contrada (=district) is Giustini.

2005

The first bottle

By a careful and manual selection of Negroamaro grapes we obtain our first label: Vecchio Sogno.
It means «Old dream», the grandfather’s dream to have one day his own winery.
It’s the transition from commodity to brand, from the economics of bulk to the direct relationship with the end consumer.

2015

The winery

The products are increasingly appreciated, the company keep growing and we can finally make the dream come true.
Our wines find their home just in San Giorgio.
