Tenuta San Giorgio

A passion passed down from father to son, for three generations.
Our Estate finds its origins in the pages of a family history, made of authentic values and deep roots. The passion for good wine and for the land, passed down from generation to generation, from 1971 to today.

It is the deep sense of family, sharing and respect that makes the heart of Tenuta San Giorgio beat, a historic company that embraces the value of tradition and opens up to the world with the innovative spirit of the new generations. We face every choice, gesture or challenge with the determination and strength of those who can count on an unbreakable bond.
The history of our Estate has its roots in 1971, when Sergio Tombacco, motivated by a strong passion passed down from his father Lodovico, founded Tenuta San Giorgio in the splendid and fertile lands of the Piave, taking over some vineyards that had populated those lands for over a century.

In 50 years the business has seen the passage of three generations. Sergio was followed by his sons Giorgio, Valerio and Marco who brought about renewals to the Estate and in turn involved their children in the business activities, until reaching the current structure. In 2004, a new important milestone: the first gold medal at Vinitaly as a tribute to the products of a company guided by love for the land, passion for genuine products and the value of family.

Terroir

A land rich in life

From the unique pebble conformation of the Piave area to the ideal microclimate typical of the Euganean Hills, our vineyards are located in two areas with completely different terroirs that give the wines we produce heterogeneous organoleptic characteristics.

Eighty-five hectares of land dedicated to the art of viticulture, rich in conformation of nutrients that favor the growth of fragrant bunches of grapes from which our selection of wines is born. Fertile and flourishing lands, which extend between Maserada sul Piave and Arquà Petrarca

Welcome to the vineyard of

Maserati

Our Maserada vineyard is located on the largest river island in Italy and among the largest in Europe, where nature still has the opportunity to manifest itself undisturbed and where water is the element that dominates an open, vast landscape that disappears towards a horizon outlined by the crests of the Dolomites.

It is precisely from these mountains with a thousand-year history that the smooth pebbles that give this land unique characteristics come from. The terroir of the Grave di Papadopoli is also characterized by the presence of silt and gravel that give minerality and aromas to the wines coming from this land.

Welcome to the vineyard of

Arquà Petrarca

In the heart of the Euganean Hills, among the gentle and lush valleys of volcanic origin, a natural amphitheater opens up to the view, well ventilated and with an excellent temperature range. Our Arquà Petrarca vineyard has its roots in this enchanting setting, strategically positioned south-west to fully benefit from the characteristics of an exceptional microclimate.

Particularly suited to red grape wines, the terroir of Arquà Petrarca, together with the light and air that embrace this area, offers the rows of vines the perfect nourishment for the birth of juicy and tasty fruits.
